Lead scoring and enrichment

Week 1

In this week's update, we introduced Edgar to lead scoring and prioritization. This is a manual and repetitive task often done by many outbound growth teams weekly. Finding signal in the noise of a target account list can take hours of time throughout the week, time that could be better spent selling.

Customer Problem

One of Edgar’s first customers is bogged down with an outbound growth process to prioritize influencer outreach. The team does influencer outreach as part of their go to market strategy to utilize influencers in the travel industry. The sales team spends hours a week creating lists of influencers from tiktok, youtube, and instagram to then spend more hours a week prioritizing the list. Let’s see where Edgar jumped in to help.

Edgar Task

“@Edgar prioritize the list of influencers here by location, language, content category, and engagement size.”

  • Take a list of data of influencers provided

  • Lookup each influencer and score for: location, language, content category, and engagement size (followers * engagement percentage), likelihood to travel (specific to this customer)

  • Create an excel sheet with the attributes and an aggregate score of attributes

  • Sort the top scoring influencers to the top of the sheet

  • Separate into groups in the sheet based on category

  • Email the excel sheet to the team when complete

Skills Breakdown

Edgar uses skills written by itself and Edgar engineers to accomplish tasks. If tasks require skills Edgar does not currently have, Edgar will generate new skills to get the job done. Each new skill generated makes Edgar that much smarter of a teammate.

  1. Edgar started by clarifying with the customer the ask around lead scoring attributes, specifically how to determine a valid content category for travel.

  2. Edgar did not have existing skills to complete the task, so it prompted new skills to be generated to complete the task.

  3. Once the new skills were generated, Edgar ran through the task to score and prioritize influencers.

  4. The excel sheet was emailed back to the customer.

Skills Count

473 Total Skill Count / 4 New Skills Generated

The new skills generated by and for Edgar this week can do more than lead prioritization for influencers in the coming weeks. Edgar will be able to lead score and prioritize a target account list for attributes beyond influencer reach. Stay tuned!
